Question by Anora: Found these articles re autism/vaccine links?
Here they are…..

To all you new parents, and pregnant women, does the info contained in these links make you reconsider vaccination for your new/impending child? My daughter is 16 and had I know then, what I know now, I can honestly say I would NOT have vaccinated her. How about you folks?
Admittedly refusing information, dismissing it as “newspaper hype” and then spewing crap at me youve been programmed with by the same profession that prepetuates these vaccines and the damage they cause, now that is intelligence in action. WOW, I had no idea this part of YA was so stubbornly blind, by choice. By chosing to NOT read the links, you ignore the fact (that means proven, FACT) that both links are indeed backed by NUMEROUS SCIENTIFIC studies……you know, the kind with scientists and doctors and stuff……and, it plainly and clearly says so, complete with additional sources and other studies (they really mean scientific, complete with medical doctors, protocols and everything).
thank you, environmental, for taking this question to exactly where I intended…as a question to incite debate. Silly me for thinking it might be at least somewhat intelligent when dealing with the YA community!!!!! Your answer is the ONLY one Ive gotten so far worth even the time it took to read it. Thank you!
Even if we dont agree on everything….to have an intelligent answer (even if its only one) is exactly what I was looking for. I care not for the ramblings of fear mongering ignorant folk who can do nothing more than spew hatred and recycled garbage.
AND, for what its worth, i never anywhere, in any way shape or form said that vaccines were the ONLY cause. It IS proven that the differing genetic makeup of these children, is triggered by certain vaccines and that is what results in autism or autistic-like conditions.

I’m not going to bother reading the links. Autism is not caused by vaccines and this has been proven over and over again. Those who say otherwise are just looking for a reason other then pure genetics.
I am very happy that I had my daughter vaccinated and would not think twice about doing it again.
What do you think? Answer below!
i’m a registered nurse and i am a complete believer in vaccination. If you dont get vaccinated– i betcha autsim is not gonna get your child–BUT measles, mumps, rubella, polio, chicken pox, hepatitis B, hep A, tuberculosis and typhoid will SURELY—I MEAN SURELY will KILL your child… Would u like that???
Only an ignorant person would believe that immunization can hurt your child.
Again with the ridiculous, totally unscientific, debunked nonsense about autism and vaccines. Vaccines save lives – period. Children developed Autism long before vaccines were invented. I do not want my children to suffer and die from Polio, Diphtheria, Whooping Cough, Measles, Tetanus, etc. These diseases are killers. Stop spreading fears and lies about Autism because there are enough ignorant saps who will believe your nonsense and put us all in danger from pandemic outbreaks of preventable illnesses due to this ignorant pseudo science.
No, it doesn’t. I know a bunch of people who work in medical statistics and understand the raw data, not the newspaper hype. Every single one of them has had their kids vaccinated.
And did you know that unvaccinated kids are slightly MORE likely to end up autistic? Strange how that one never gets reported.
How about the one where there have been no studies done at all to look at possible links between single vaccines and autism? Yup, that’s right, all those people picking the safe option are using their kids as guinea pigs. Those vaccines haven’t been tested on babies.
So I guess your daughter is lucky you were ignorant when she got vaccinated.
I much rather have a Son that becomes autistic as opposed to dying from a serious preventable disease. Parents that do not vaccinate are selfish.
137 scientists in over 50 locations in 9 countries around the world 2 years ago tested 1,600 families with an autistic member in each of them. Some of these autistics were vaccinated. Others were not. But ALL autistics shared the same genes. Since then, more genes have been mapped.
The scientists in the original and subsequent studies, all of which have been peer reviewed, have determined that there is no environmental “trigger” for autism, and this includes vaccines.
See “Autism and Vaccines: Parts I and II” for reliable information on this subject. They are free audio podcasts put out by Midnight In Chicago.
They site all their sources including the studies I just mentioned.

Worth adding to this discussion is a comment on a “treatment” or “cure” to the supposed autism/vaccine link (which has repeatedly been proven false):
Recently a major study about the effectiveness of chelation on autistic people was called off due to the brain damage it caused in rats. It has since been postulated by many medical professionals that the symptoms of autism might be worsened by chelation if it causes brain damage in humans as well as rats.
Also, you can read about the death of one chelation victim in this article.
I’ve consulted many medical professionals about this subject. They agree that it is “quack”, is not approved for treating autism, and that it is medically unethical to do so.
http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/5807...
“Chelation Study for Autism Called Off”
“The study had reportedly been on hold since last year when animal trials linked a specific chelation treatment to brain damage in rats.
“‘The Board determined that there was no clear evidence for direct benefit to children who would participate in the chelation trial and that the study presents more than a minimal risk,” according to the NIMH statement.”
“The therapy has been approved for more than 50 years for the treatment of lead poisoning, but it is not approved for the treatment of autism.
“A Chelation Death Reported
“The use of chelation therapy as a treatment for autism has been linked to at least one death in 2005 of a 5-year-old boy who was treated with an agent that is not widely used in children.”
Getting back to the discussion at hand, there is considerable fear-mongering going on. I can easily see why it is people fear vaccinations and why people seek “treatments” after their child comes down with autism, but it is important to remember that no study that has been peer-reviewed has found a link between autism and vaccines, and so potentially deadly FDA- unapproved treatments for “mercury poisoning” from vaccines are unnecessary.
